Care for your painting

Thank you for giving my painting a home. Oil paintings are strong and can last a very long time. A little care helps.

  • Where to hang it: away from direct sun, and not right above a heater or a fireplace. A kitchen or a bathroom is not the best place, because of steam and grease.
  • Dust: once in a while, dust it gently with a soft dry brush or a soft dry cloth. Please no water, no glass cleaner and no sprays.
  • Holding it: hold it by the sides, and try not to press on the front or the back of the canvas.
  • Drying: oil paint stays a little soft inside for 6 to 12 months, even when it feels dry. This is normal.

If anything happens to your painting, just write me. I am happy to help.
